In video editing, many different types of transitions can be used to add style or energy to your project. In real-world terms, you've seen this effect countless times: a dissolve between two shots of a person walking across a room and the next shot of them walking out a door.ĭifferent transitions might be used to pass time as opposed to physically moving two or more clips for a sense of energy on the Premiere Pro timeline. Transitions move scenes along between different shots. Transitions are an effect created between different media on the same track that creates an animated link between them. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does affect the way the transition unfolds. The Adobe programmers assume that a good videographer does not want a transition to occur during the essential action in a scene, so if there is not enough head or tail material, Premiere uses repeated frames to cover the duration of the transition. This happened because there was not always enough extra media between the clip's start time and In point ( head material) or from its Out point and the end of the media ( tail material), so Premiere made some adjustments. Only a few combine the last video or audio material from the clip before the cut with the first material from the clip right after the cut. Standard transitions are typically double-sided, but some of the transitions that were added to our movie are positioned at the beginning of a clip and others were added at the end of a clip. Step 4. Zoom in on the timeline until you can see the transitions between clips better. Let's take a look at the transitions on the Timeline. Transitions have now been added to the sequence. We won't worry about this for this project, but you can see why having extra unused footage at the beginning and end of a clip is important. NOTE: If you didn't trim the ends of the clips in a previous exercise, or didn't trim enough off the end of a clip, you'll see a warning dialog box informing you that there are not enough extra frames to add transitions to some of the clips. To quickly add default video and audio transitions to this sequence, on the Menu bar,Ĭlick Sequence, Click Apply Default Transitions to Selection To select everything on the Timeline, on the keyboard, press: To make the Timeline panel the active panel, We'll want to make sure the Timeline panel is the active panel before continuing. Let's add the default audio and video transitions to our sequence now. Overall, it creates a smooth, gradual audio transition. On the second clip, it increases the audio quickly at first and then more slowly toward the end. This transition decreases the audio for the first clip slowly at first and then quickly toward the end of the transition. ![]() Constant Power is the default audio transition. These are all considered to be Crossfades. Premiere Pro also comes with 3 audio transitions: Constant Gain, Constant Power, and Exponential Fade. It is a standard type of transition that can be used to smooth out a cut or to mix two clips to create a softer transition. In these cases, it may help to use an effect to create a more stylized transition.Ĭross Dissolve is the default video transition used in Premiere Pro. However, sometimes moving from one clip to the next without any special effect added can come across as awkward to viewers. This is the transition that experienced videographers use most often. The simplest transition is when you move from one scene to the next without any effect applied. When editing video, every time you have an edit or a cut, there is a transition. ![]() The connector body is made of flame retardant polycarbonate(PC) that prevents or retards the propagation of fire.Ĥ pin RGB waterproof strip to strip connector.įor more choices of indoor or waterproof LED strip connectors, please see the LED strip connector category. Much of current knowledge of intravenous vitamin K pharmacology relates to its use as a warfarin reversal drug alone or together with plasma/prothrombin complex concentrates. Vitamin K might be a preferable option in this setting. Furthermore, patients with mild coagulopathy are often given prophylactic plasma before invasive procedures albeit low evidence and risks associated with transfusion. ![]() However, the current evidence is limited regarding the effect of intravenous vitamin K on standard coagulation assays in critically ill patients, and it is not clear which dose and administration interval should be used. ![]() Increased bleeding diathesis may be corrected in several ways, depending on the severity and the patient’s circumstances, and vitamin K may be used as a sole therapy or in combination with other pro-coagulant agents. Future studies should focus on identifying which patient populations may benefit most from vitamin K administration as well as whether vitamin K could be a better alternative than plasma or prothrombin complex concentrate to improve PT-INR before non-emergent invasive procedures.Ĭoagulopathies are frequently present in critically ill patients, and they contribute to increased mortality. ![]() In critically ill patients with a PT-INR of 1.3–1.9, the administration of vitamin K resulted in a slightly larger decrease of PT-INR 12–36 h after administration compared to controls. The decrease in PT-INR was slightly more pronounced in patients who received vitamin K (delta PT-INR − 0.10 in the vitamin K group and − 0.10 in the controls, p = 0.01). PT-INR decreased in both groups (1.4 in the vitamin K group and 1.4 in the controls, p < 0.001 and p = 0.004, respectively). Propensity score matching resulted in two groups of patients with 129 patients in each group. Exclusion criteria included pre-existing liver cirrhosis, any plasma or platelet transfusion, or > 1 unit red blood cell transfusion between PT-INR samplings. PT-INR was measured at admission, within 12 h before vitamin K administration and 12–36 h following vitamin K administration. Patients who received vitamin K with appropriate sampling times for PT-INR and without exclusion criteria were matched with propensity score to patients from the same cohort who did not receive vitamin K (controls). Patients admitted to a mixed 9-bed general intensive care unit at a University Hospital, between 20 ( n = 4541) with a PT-INR between 1.3 and 1.9 at any time during the stay were identified. Therefore, the aim of this registry study was to evaluate changes in PT-INR in response to vitamin K in critically ill patients with PT-INR in the range of 1.3–1.9. It has never been investigated thoroughly whether the administration of vitamin K to these patients could affect their PT-INR. Previous studies have indicated that vitamin K deficiency is common in non-bleeding critically ill patients with slightly prolonged prothrombin time-international normalized ratio (PT-INR). I’m super excited to be part of the Compass team and I can’t wait for the next set of releases. This is only version 1.0 of Compass - there is lots of great functionality to come. MongoDB Compass can also be used for free in a development environment. It comes included for production use with our subscriptions, both MongoDB Professional and MongoDB Enterprise Advanced. Well, MongoDB Compass is available in the download center on. I know you must be wondering - where can I get this thing?! This can be expanded by clicking on the Document Viewer icon on the right-hand side of the page: Documents can be examined in the document viewing pane. One final thing to mention - we didn’t forget about the JSON. You can be building queries with a few clicks of a button in no time at all. Once you hit the Apply button, Compass will execute the query and bring back the results! It’s as easy as it sounds. Continuing with our example, we can select a particular flightId in addition to departures from JFK Airport. In the example below, clicking on the “JFK” bar builds a query matching all documents whose departureAirportFsCode field matches “JFK”:Ĭlicking on other field values adds the field and range to the selection, creating a more complex query. Clicking on a chart value or bar will automatically build a MongoDB query that matches the selected range in the interface. Compass will display a random selection of string values for the field: Visual Construction of Queriesĭo you want an easier way to type out a MongoDB query? Charts in Compass are fully interactive. Here’s another example using a field that stores names. We can see the minimum age is 16, the maximum age is 56 and the most popular age is late 30’s (the exact value is shown by hovering over the bar itself). For example, here is a data set containing the age of users. Imagine the case where you have a field showing a mix of strings and numbers - perhaps there is an application bug somewhere that has crept in and is storing data with a different type than it should be? Data DiscoveryĬompass is able to show histograms to represent the data frequency and distribution within a collection. This is exceptionally useful to understand whether your application is storing data the way that you expect it to. In this example, 81% of documents store phone_no as a string, and the remaining 19% store it as a number:įor sparse fields, where some documents omit a value, Compass displays the percentage of missing values as “undefined.” Here, the age field is missing in 40% of the sampled documents. It reports that there are documents in the collection that contain a field last_login with the type date:Ĭompass also displays a percentage breakdown for fields with varying data types across documents. ![]() The example below is taken from a mock dataset that I use when test driving Compass. MongoDB Compass was built to address 3 main goals:Ĭompass displays the data types of fields in a collection’s schema. ![]() MongoDB 3.2 introduces MongoDB Compass - a graphical tool that allows you to easily analyse and understand your database schema, as well as allowing you to visually construct queries, all without having to know MongoDB’s query syntax: ![]() There has to be a better way - enter MongoDB Compass. Until now, if you wanted to understand the structure of your data, you would have to use the MongoDB shell to issue queries and view data at the command line. However, this flexibility can also make it difficult to understand the structure of the data in an existing database. MongoDB’s flexible schema and rich document structure allow developers to quickly build applications with rich data structures. I did this out of pressure treated 4×4’s that were each 10′ long. ![]() Once I verified that the system was going to be well suited to my needs, I had to build my panel support racking. To get your tiny house setup on solar you’ll need the following parts: your panels, batteries, a charge controller and an inverter. This meant instead of 600 watts on the roof of my tiny house, I could put 4,000 watts on the ground in the field right next to my tiny house. The biggest benefit of ground mounting my panels is that I could have a way bigger solar panel array. The benefits of a ground mounted array are huge: being able to easily clean my panels, clear off snow that covers my panels after a snow fall, keeping the panels cooler (increases their efficiency) and being able to shade my house while placing the panels in an open field. After considering all the options: roof mounted, pole mounted, solar trackers, and fixed ground mount, I’m really happy with my decision. What I did was mount my solar panels on stands on the ground. This means you only have around 100 square feet of space for panels. Tiny house roofs only have around 200 square feet of space and since most roofs are pitched, you can really only mount panels on one side. ![]() Many people want solar panels on the roof of their tiny house, but I opted for a ground mounted solar array, which I highly recommend. Mounting Solar Panels On A Tiny House Roof Any additional costs for things like a high SEER rating HVAC system quickly paid for themselves by letting me have a smaller solar panel array and batteries. Since I built my own house, these decisions were pretty simple and, in the end, didn’t cost me much more. While the traditional home in America uses around 30 KWs per day, my tiny house uses around 3 KWs per day.Įvery decision I made during my tiny house build, from choosing LEDs lights, to a super-efficient minisplit system, and an on demand hot water heater all were chosen to reduce my power consumption. ![]() Tiny houses are a great candidate for solar power because the smaller space makes for low power needs. I’ve had to figure things out like how to run my air conditioning off solar, how to cook with solar in a solar oven, and how I use solar generators as backup power in a pinch. Many people have asked me about putting solar panels on a tiny house because I’m one of the few out there that is totally off the grid in my tiny house.
